Our DUCK son is what brought us to Eugene and instead of paying for high apartment rent, we decided to purchase an investment property. Shawn was referred to us by my mother. Normally that would be a negative, as I stay far away from mixing family and business. Fortunately, however, I had the opportunity to observe Shawn in action during a difficult personal time. He was kind, responsive, forthright, and caring and demonstrated the qualities I appreciate in a business provider. We took the next step and researched his reviews and interviewed him to discuss our unique home and circumstances, our previous negative experiences with realtors, and our high expectations. Shawn was undaunted by our demands and committed to meet our expectation that if he said he would do something, he would do it or come back to us to review/modify the item—our biggest complaint about realtors. I am happy to report that Shawn did a superb job, has met that commitment, and renewed our faith in realtors. The property that Shawn sold for us was a rental. As we live out of the area, it fell to Shawn to coordinate with the renter and to handle the repairs and other minutiae of the process. He did so while keeping us informed and updated. When the renter became frustrated with the many demands for access to the property, Shawn negotiated a way forward, calmed the renter, and restores the collaborative relationship. Shawn is also smart, savvy, and strategic. He guided us as to what repairs and maintenance should be done, urged us not to overspend on home improvements before putting it on the market, and advised a higher listing price than we’d expected. His guidance resulted in a quick and a full price sale. All in all, we couldn’t be happier with the process or outcome. We highly recommend Shawn and assure you that you will be as grateful as we are to have had his expertise, professionalism, and guidance through the real estate experience.
